What is ADSL? Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL)

ADSL Broadband is one form of the Digital Subscriber Line, this is provided through a telephone lines that gives you access to the internet with speeds of up to 140 times faster than dial up or ADSL2 can offer speeds of up to 24Mbps.

A splitter, or DSL filter, allows a single telephone connection to be used for both ADSL service and voice calls at the same time. This component is generally supplied by the Internet Service Provider (ISP).
