Australian Daylight Savings Time (DST) dates back from the First World War and was initially applied to all states around Australia, but in 2010 the only States that participate in Daylight Savings Time are New South Wales, Victoria, Australian Capital Territory, South Australia and Tasmania other States such as Queensland, Western Australia and Northern Territory don’t participate in Daylight Savings.
Daylight Savings begins on the first Sunday of October which is 3rd October, 2010 (03-10-2010) at 2:00am Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST), Clocks need to be turned forward 1 hour to 3:00am.
Australian Daylight Savings Time is followed through until the first Sunday of April 2011 (03-04-2011), Clocks are then turned back 1 hour at 2:00am to 1:00am.
